The modest “elephantine architecture” of rock uprisings along Mill Cove on Passamaquoddy Bay near Eastport remind me of the larger sea stacks along the Pacific coastline of Oregon and the Olympic Peninsula in Washington state. These can be accessed by land only at low tide. They’re also the subject of Native mythological lore. At high tide, the ocean can be around the top of the rocky sides of the wall.
