What’s obsolete.?
The wooden buoys have been largely replaced by plastic foam and plastic bottles, while the rigging is changing in ways intended to protect whales.
OK, yes foam is common I know many fishermen. They are always hit with more rules and regulations many of which are for better fishing in the future not so much for their families right now.
It’s a struggle, as I’m seeing first-hand.
Our tools of the trade are partly reflections of us, as they could assume a myriad of forms and shapes, and only ended up one.
