I’m reminded of the year I spent in Maine while in the Navy at Winter Harbor. We traveled to Cutler and passed through a town called Cherryfield. That town looked like a Norman Rockwell painting cone to life.

Yes, it does. It’s an hour-and-a-half away from us but still in Washington county. Winter Harbor looks like a fine place to spend a year, too.
The Navy base was located at what is now Schoodic Institute in Acadia park
