Islands can be truly challenging, especially through winter. They form remarkable communities.
Would love to live there, when I had just finished my apprenticeship as a motor mechanic a friend of mine was living on the island of Mull of the coast of Scotland and wanted me to come and work in his workshop fixing boats and farm equipment and anything else, no real monetary wage, mostly barter and exchange of skills lol sounded awful to a 20 year old who was enjoying Liverpool and city life now that I’m 40 something it sounds brilliant 🙂
