I pulled over to photograph some ducks on a pond, or so I thought. When I turned around, this is what I found.

Wild turkeys have made a remarkable comeback in New England. The other day, I had to stop behind a stopped car on the road. That’s when I saw the gobbler stroll off the pavement. There was even one in our yard, we’ve been told.
This is going to sound silly, but I didn’t even know there were wild turkeys π Great photos!
You never know what you’re going to learn here in the world of blogging!
Wild turkeys have grown rampant around northern California, so much so that the Sacramento public radio station tracks their urban appearances. A large flock used to roost in a pine tree at my mom’s house. If you call our to them (with a gobble), the whole group responds!
Don’t do that too early in the day, especially if her neighbors are night owls.
How wonderful! Thank you for sharing the pictures.
