The Wabanaki people of Maine and the Maritime Provinces have been working since the 1990s on legislation and public policies to combat racism and colonialism in the educational system. All I’ve been able to dig up so far using the plate, however, is a research paper by Rebecca Cardinal Stokbeson, “Cibenuk Red Hope: Weaving Policy Toward Decolonization & Beyond,” based on research in Alberta. I’m hoping to learn more.
