The Wood Island light

Sitting at the mouth of Saco Bay, the 49-foot-tall Wood Island tower is among the 65 lighthouses remaining in Maine – 60 of their beacons still working. The state has 3,478 miles of coastline, or more than 5,000 miles if inlets and islands are included.
