HERE’S WHAT MORE PLASTIC FLOWERS SAY, DOC

the prosperity relocating
to the boundary of its money spring
progresses into gangsters disrupting
any cadence of neighborhood

rusting or smoldering initials start
appearing before villagers rise up
in some righteous districts when
they, too, find it’s so tempting to cash in

waist-high white crosses
beside the road
insignias of salvation
or damnation

in memory of saints,
scoffers, or non-believers
admission into heaven’s
scarcely automatic

when it’s sacrilege
there’s a price to pay
to say nothing
of the threat to public safety

otherwise, it’s simply
take it, Baby, take it
Baby, take it
yeah, all it’s worth
